These paintings
are part of an on-going series of pieces that involve a central character who travels the world.
This leather-capped gentleman is posed in landscapes and cityscapes from our travels through the years.
The best thing about these paintings is they can cross time and space. I can place this character anywhere in the world and at any time.
This gives the viewer the chance to make up their own story as to why this gentleman is in this particular place.
"Sunrise Circus" is a perfect example. I love to create paintings that initiate a story and response from the viewer.
The paintings don't necessarily have to make perfect sense, just invoke curiosity
